Thanks for your website. I like it very much. Just wanted to add my 2 cents. I was raised in a Catholic family in which my mother became quite, lets say, zealous, left the Church, when I was a teen and for the rest of her life talked nonstop about Jesus using it as a justification to win every argument and control every conversation. I left home at 17 and tried to put the whole business of religion as far behind me as possible becoming intimately involved with Jewish people and Buddhists. I knew God was out there somewhere but had been “controlled” by religion my whole early life. However, several years ago, at a garage sale, for a quarter, I picked up a great book called “Peace of Soul” by Fulton Sheen. I was quite impressed with his thinking and he has brought me back into the Catholic Church (which was unrecognizable to me when I came back – I go to a Tridentine Latin Mass these days). You might want to check out Sheen if you haven’t already. He taught philosophy and discusses faith in a way I have never experienced and he’s not banging you over the head with it. You might want to avoid his videos “Life is Worth Living”. I enjoy them, but he reminds me a bit of Bela Lugosi. All the best. (PS – about the time I picked up the book I asked for and got what I consider to be a rather large miracle. It works.)
